For some colleges, there are more applicants than there are openings. This requires colleges to implement a method for selecting students that utilizes criteria believed to predict how well a given student will perform in their college. For example, colleges will use a multiple regression equation that uses high school GPA, test score from the ACT or SAT (college entrance exams), and high school academic ranking (i.e., the quality of the high school) to predict how well a prospective student will do in their college. Describe at least 3 factors/variables you think colleges should use in selecting prospective students into their school. Your initial post must contain at least 10 sentences.
As population is increasing day by day, burden of students is also increasing on schools but quality of education is the key elements which is needed by everyone. As we all wanted to take admission in reputed institution, therefore everyone apply for their institution and therefore application registered for admission is now a days more as compared to seat in that institution. Today grade/marks is almost same for all students whether he is from reputed high school or any Normal high school, therefore considering a good student is sometimes very challenging, and selecting as per reputed school students priority, is not justify their knowledge. If any school wanted to select best student from application they may consider different marks in aptitude test which is approved by their government and again that institution may take test which is as per their level of institutions, that will give them a good and well educated students from any high school without differentiating between good school and average school.
