Explain the legal issues of sterilization, artificial insemination, and surrogacy.

• Legal issues of sterilization :

Legal issues vary from country to country, in common view in present time countries including both developed and developing decreasing the issues over voluntary sterilization, and start considering it as an individual's decision whether she want it or not, means voluntary sterilization is put outside the medical crimes but still in some countries sterilization is considered as physical mutilation and put under medical crimes and can only done is special condition of medical emergencies.

• Legal issues of artificial insemination :

No legal legislation regarding artificial insemination in USA and INDIA but the doctor has to follow general principle law. (in India) and guidelines by Association society of reproductive medicine (ASRM) ( in USA) but these are not enforced by law.

• Legal issues of surrogacy :

​​​​​​​In USA : No law governs surrogacy but pre birth orders are grated generally in favour of married couple who want to use their own sperm/ova amd decision is completely depends on court

1. In India : commercial surrogacy is illegal in india
2. only infertile couples are allowed for surrogacy
3. required couple should be married more than 5 years and should have a certificate of infertility issued by doctor.
4. And surrogate mother is restricted to surrogate only once if she is in close relative to intended parents for surrogacy.
5. Bans single parent, homosexual couple and live in couples from surrogacy
