What are the current legal standards with regards to substance treatment? Consider legal issues such as confidentiality, informed consent, referrals to treatment centers, insurance coverage, release of information, etc.

Substance treatment is one of the challanging treatment nowadays. Regarding legal point of view , identity cannot be disclosed of the person , in case of informed consents also the matter needs to be kept confidential . Hospitals, counselling centres or other treatment centres be reffered with the proper case history of the patient. Release of informations , medicine requirements and other specific things should be mentioned in the prescriptions in medical terms only . Regarding insurance coverage , if the disease occoured after taking the insurance coverage then it is covered , but if the patient is taking the policy with the disease or addiction , he should disclose the problems to the insurer or else it will be attract the rules of suppression of facts for which the claims may got denied. Coverage depends on the criticality of the diseases but normally it occours after an waiting period only.
