ANSWER: TEMPERATURE IS ONE OF THE HOMEOSTATIC MECHANISM OF BODY REGULATED BY NEGATIVE FEEDBACK.
Body temperature is controlled by the hypothalamus. If the hypothalamus detects that the body is too hot i.e the temperature is higher than normal, the response is that the body begins to reduce the temperature back to the normal level. Or if the temperature starts decreasing below normal, the hypothalalamus tries to increase it and reach the normal level.
This is the negative feedback of the body to go in opposite direction to what is happening to the body, and maintain homeostasis.
If there is no negative feedback then there will be further increase in temperature of the body or further decrease in the body temperature, both being harmful for the body.
