Be able to describe the how a positive and negative feedback loop differ in regulating a body’s function. Then using a specific set of hormones, you learned about (you select which ones…a pair) describe how they work in a negative feedback loop. Include in your description where they are released from, what triggers each one of them to be released, what actions they have and if they have specific target tissues or are generally dispersed throughout the body. Finally, how they interact with one another. Be very specific in your answer.

Please find answer as below.

Feedback loop are important to maintain the homeostasis of animals. In a feedback loop the output of a system increase the processing of the system or prevent the system. That is positive and negative feedback loop. Hormones have major role in feedback loop .For example there contraction during the child birth is a positive feedback loop and temperature regulation of human body is negative feedback loop. In absence of a feedback loop the body losses its self-regulatory capacity. Changes in feedback loop can result in health problems like diabetes, hyperthyroidism etc.

Following loop is an example of negative feedback loop

Insulin is released from pancreatic islets of Langerhans of pancreas

Triggering factor is increased glucose level in the blood. Target cells of action is liver. Reaction is conversion of glucose into glycogen .
