Can performance on some jobs simply not be measured? Why or why not?
It is very important that the performance of professionals should be done in order to ensure their effectiveness and workability by doing this performance of professionals can be enhanced.
This is a very common practice in the management process because it not only increase the profit of the company but also ensures the quality of the work provided by professional.
It is also a true fact that all jobs or professions may not measure by performance only.
For example: the profession of firefighters is one of the toughest, demanding and engaging jobs.
They do their jobs with dedication very effectively. It is impossible for anyone to measure the performance of firefighter because their work depends upon the particular situation and they do not hesitate to risk their lives in order to saves other persons' lives.
One can not be a good or bad firefighter they jobs rely on the teamwork of the member of team. Their performance cannot be measured because they do their work without any expectation and hope of rewards.
Every job has its own different characteristics and nature. That is why we cannot measure the performance of all professions.
