Islam recognizes Jesus and Moses. Does this mean that Islam respects other religions? Why or why not?
Islam is one of the most ancient and well spread religion in the world. The "Holy Kuran" is the base of Islam. The best possible way to live this life is prescribed in "The Holy Kuran".
Islam reflects five sacred things to be done in this very life and throws light on the adjacent thought processes and the spiriyual journeys as well.
Jesus and Moses are very much recognised by Islam. Islam is flexible in its reflection towards other religions. It definitely respects other religions.
The only thing is that Islam is a strong believer of Monotheism. Therefore, though Islam respects other religions, it asserts and guides to worship the single, unique Creator/ Allah.
This essence of Islam is diluted by so called learned intermediaries who tend to be the selfish and greedy people. They convey the other religions not to be respected and this is the reason for all the chaos and turmoil.
But, Islam as a religion respects all the other religions.
