If you were defending the Cherokee and other native nations before the U.S. Supreme Court in the 1830s, what arguments would you make? If you were supporting Indian removal, what arguments would you make?
One of the most important things about America is that it’s a country of the settlers. It’s the Native Americans who lived and protected the land for thousands of years. This would mean that the settlers would have respected the integrity of the Native Americans by not disturbing their lands. The greedy nature of the Europeans not just in America but all over the world has left most of the people lose their land, resources and life. The same thing happened to the Native Americans who trusted that the Europeans came for trade and not to invade them. betrayal was one of the key words that the Europeans used all over the world. America was a vast country with more vacant lands but the Europeans forced the Native Americans out of their lands that they used for their living. It’s by all means and today’s standards is wrong and it should have been prevented.
