How does hospice and palliative care differ from the traditional medical model of health care delivery? What are the benefits to patients who elect these services in lieu of traditional medical care?
Palliative and Traditional Health care:
The palliative care primarily focusses on increasing comfort levels of the patient. They want to emphasize on the patient rather than on the disease. Significant costs savings are also achievable by implementing the palliative health care programs. Where-as the traditional methods aim at finding the root cause of the problem, main emphasis on finding the symptoms of the medical diseases. Traditional care primarily focusses on invasive tests and procedures that perform diagnosis methods.
