People are the products of their environment such as, parenting, family, friends, education, employment, culture, religion etc. This would mean that their personality, attitude, worldview and perceptions would be shaped by others in the society. Social learning theory which was introduced by Albert Bandura suggests that people learn most of their attitudes, behaviours and values from people around them. They would observe, imitate and adopt those behaviours by internalizing the consequences of the actions they observe. My parents were shaped by my parents as I was able to observe them and because I could trust them, it became easy for me to adopt the behaviours and attitudes they exhibited. My friends influenced my later attitudes, values and behaviours because we had to adjust most of our behaviours in order to form a group of our own. We learned from each other and we were also able teach each other. The other influence came from my teachers in various classes also influenced and modelled certain behaviours that had a great impact in my personality.
