According to the latest version of the DSMV, what are the signs and symptoms of alcohol use disorder?
DSM-V means Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder-5. It is the standard classification of mental disorder. It is being used by mental health professionals. It has major role to play in diagnosis and research work.
Alcohol use disorder means a disorder which is result of excessive use of alcohol. In such case, a person drink more and more for getting same effect. It may cause severe health problems. In such condition when a person starts drinking in minimum amount then also withdrwal symptoms start to appear. This stage is known as alcoholism.
Following are the signs and symptoms of Alcohol use Disorder:-
1. A person can't limit his/her drinking.
2. He/she feels extream urge of drinking.
3. Drinking habbit starts creating social and economical problem to a person in this stage.
4. Social and work activities are being reduced to a significant level.
5. Person drink even during driving and swimming.
6. Person become more alcohol tolerant.
