what are the two most important skills a business analyst should have when trying to attack a business intelligence problem? Why do you feel this way?
When a business being attacked with an intelligence problem, it think two most important skills that a business analyst should possess would be Problem-solving skills and Critical-thinking skills. Problem solving skills shall be essential to possess because when a Project is attacked with a problem, a Business Analyst can enable the shared understanding of such an intelligence problem, coming up with the probable solutions to the same along with determining the scope of the Business project where such solutions could be applied. This shall involve undertaking good communication as well, to involve the stakeholders in resolving these technical challenges.
Critical-thinking skills shall also be essential because even before the solutions are applied over the scope of the business, options are to be critically examined before zeroing down upon certain solutions to resolve a business intelligence problem. The needs of the stakeholders and their concerns are to be hence critically understood before the solution is applied. Besides, the Analyst should keep probing the stakeholders until the actual concerns incidental to the business intelligence problem is finally surfaced. This is hence an evaluation skill, highly important to attack a business intelligence problem thus.
