A) Uberisation
UBERISATION
A. Uberisation is the utilisation of computer platforms and mobile applications to facilitate transactions between a client and a provider or peer to peer transactions. In other words, Uberisation is the utilisation of modern data platforms to bypass corporations that are centrally planned.
B. Uberisation has picked up momentum over the last few years. People are using their smartphones to order food, clothes, and even car rides to get them from one place to another. It would have been impossible to believe a decade ago that such technology could be possible. It has changed employment in many ways. It has created jobs like the vacancies for delivery people, drivers, managers of online orders etc. Uberisation has created many job opportunities. It has given the clients an opportunity to get products and services delivered to them wherever they are, whenever they want. This has facilitated a change in work by requiring employees to work round the clock and being on duty 24/7. It has also made the employees be on constant go mode to reach out to customers. Instead of the old business models of the clients approaching the providers, Uberisation has made it possible for the providers to reach out to clients and customers through a medium. Uberisation has made it convenient for monetary transactions to happen at ease as well.
