How might stronger team skills benefit you? How might you use teamwork skills in your job? Provide specific examples.
What is it like to participate in a virtual meeting, such as web-based, teleconference, and so forth?
Describe three ways in which this type of participation is different from participating in a face-to-face meeting.
There is no specific definition of team skills, but the people who are in a team must carry some characteristics and skills. they may be called as team skills, which means if the team members having these skills the journey of the team may go in a smooth way, without many hurdles. when all the team members interact with each other openly, understand each other accurately, help and support each other heartfully, then these kinds of teams may not face many hurdles at the work or out of the work.
the different skills that a team must possess are: listening to all, helping, understanding, sharing, participating and so on. the effectiveness of a team depends on its members and their coordination and cooperation with each member. if all the people work together the result will be positive.
for example: please observe when a team of people playing the violin, assume that all are playing according to the theme and music except one person, then it makes unsound and the rhythm of the theme will be loosed. totally it makes unusually sound and the result will be a failure.
if all the players do well and follow the same theme and music, it will be most happy to listen and the result also good.
as an individual I always be with my team in all the times, of course, there sometimes we oppose others, but they help us because to have a clarity on what we are doing, and what kind of consequences we are going to get. similarly, my all team members respect each other and cooperate in all the aspects related to work.
- There are various stages of team development
1. Forming - It is the process by which the various members come together and form a team. As stated earlier, forming means experts with required skill sets come together for the special project or achieve a special goal.
2. Storming - After the team is formed, each member has a discussion on the technical details and timelines of the project. The details about the responsibilities are also discussed in the storming process.
3. Norming - Each member starts to know each other. They start discussions and healthy debate on how to proceed with the project.
4. Performing - This is the main phase of the project because here the team has to perform and give the desired output or the result for which the time has been formed. This can also be known as the execution phase.
5. Adjourning - Once the execution has been started, teams discuss the certain parameters and adjusts itself to the timeline. This phase or stage of team formation generally deals with the making the necessary changes in the project execution, to reach the desired goal.
