answer-
At my workplace, we uses two collaborative softwares Skype and MS office softwares. Skype is a video calling software which is used to do video call inn real time manner at any location of the world with access of internet. MS office which is used to create and share documents, PPTs, spreadsheets etc.
The use of Collaborative software helps workforce to get their job more faster with ease. For example- There was a team of software developer employees who are not present in same country. A team of four employees two from US, one from China and one from UK. with use of skype, These group members were able to communicate on codes, programs to devlope software for company. If there would not be skype then they would have to travel here and there which would be costly as well time consuming. The use of Microsoft office suits helped administrating department of company to maintain records, documents, Marketing departmente employees able to prepare presentation on new product launch in less time.
Yes, i believe that new technology always improve productivity of an organization because new technology have new features, more secure and more easy to understand and use. New technology just require little training then employees will be able to do their job more easily with less input. When the input is less and output is more then productivity always increases. Employees able to learn new knowledge, skills and experience which better thier performance and ultimately increase productivity of an organization.
