Following are some of the reasons why consumers prefer E-commerce over Brick and Mortar stores

  1. Convenience : The most obvious advantage of buying online is that the consumer order anything by jus clicking on their screens. A wide variety of products are available at one go.
  2. Data Driven Personalization : In case of brick and mortar stores, the salesmen have little knowledge of consumer preferences. On the contrary, e commerce websites use artificial intelligence to track consumers' browsing behavior and automatically recommend products.
  3. Lower Prices : Since e commerce websites do not require too much capital, this leads to lower costs on behalf of the sellers. Eventually the consumers can enjoy heavy discounts on the products.
  4. Best destination for Niche products : Such products require a lot of labor in order to search for them door to door. The vast network of online sites eliminate the need.
  5. Other advantages include, time saving, no need for standing in long queues for billing, increased opportunity for buying alternative products and easy comparision.
