Some people might consider Virgin's policy to be a sign of laissez faire leadership. Do you are? Why or why not?
Laissez faire leadership is also known as delegative leadership in which group members themselves make their own decisions. In this leadership style leaders try to provide least possible guidance to subordinates. They believe that in order to achieve goal people should be left with their responsibility so that they will respond to it in their own way.
No I didn't agree that the Richard Branson the founder of Virgin group has fully followed lasissez faire leadership because he contrasted his own leadership style which is collaborative and democratic both.Because by implementing this policy he is still holding the whole authority and he doesn't give up responsibility by introducing policy however he provides flexibility to employees to complete their task according to their suitability but it must be completed on time.He allows staffs to take leave or go for holiday but with the restriction that it should not affect work and it should be completed on time.
