Taking classes on campus vs. taking classes online
Compare and Contrast (look for differences and similarities).

Solutions

Expert Solution

The differences between taking classes on campus and taking classes online are as follows:

  • Taking classes on campus requires traveling to the campus, while online classes can be attended from home.
  • Classes on campus bring out more discipline in students, as the teacher is physically present in front of them. However, the same does not happen in online classes.
  • In online classes, there are more chances that a student may get distracted and become unattentive to the class. In campus classes, these chances are much lower as the teacher is able to easily monitor all students.
  • Campus classes are more interactive than online classes, and students get the opportunity to clear their doubts. This is not possible to the same extent in online classes.
  • Group activities can be easily done in campus classes while in Online classes it is very difficult to do the same.
  • Students who are sick or injured may not able to attend classes on campus. However, they may attend online classes, as they don't need to move out of their homes.

The similarities between taking classes on campus and taking classes online are as follows:

  • Both require students to attend classes at defined dates and times.
  • The format of teaching in both is similar, as the teachers will generally teach in the same way whether on campus or online.
