Jean Piaget's theory explains about children learns through four series of stages.According to Jean Piaget's theory language skills and thinkings skills of children will be developed in 2nd stage onwards. But without knowing all stages you can't understand these stages. So i'm going to explain about 4 stages of Jean piaget's theory

4 STAGES OF JEAN PIAGET'S THEORY

1.The sensorimotor stage:

2.The Preoperational stage

3.The concrete operational stage

4.The formal operational stage

1.THE SENSORIMOTOR STAGE:

From birth to 2 years in child's life considered as sensorimotor stage. In this stage children know about their surroundings through their sensations like sucking, grasping, looking and listening. They also learn about cause and effect that our actions can change our surrounding events, They also know about object permanance that eventhough object disappeared from our line of sight object will be exists in real world

2.THE PREOPERATIONAL STAGE:

This stage starts at the age of 2 and ends at the age of 7. In this stage children begins to think symbolically. They begins to remember people and things by using symbols. But in this stage children will struggles with egocentric. Egocentric is the failure of understanding that each and every body has their own perspectives. They learns language and thinking in this stage.

They will fail at conservation. If we placed one glass of water in bottle and one glass of water in pot . Then they will fail to findout both are in same quantities.

1.Starts to learn laguage skills and thinking

2.Ego centric

3.Failed at conservation

THE CONCRETE OPERATIONAL STAGE:

This stage is starts at the age of 7 and ends at 12. In this stage children overcomes ego centric and they are capable of understanding conservation. In this stage children uses logical and reasonal thinking to understand this world.

KEY POINTS:

1.Over comes egocentric

2. Understands conservation

3. Starts to think logically and reasonbly

THE FORMAL OPERATIONAL STAGE:

From 12 years to life span we considered as the formal operational stage. In this stage children begins to think abstractly. They think about hypothetical problems. They begins to think moral, ethical , social etc.,,

KEY POINTS:

1.Abstract thinking

2.Logical thinking

3.Intellectual thinking
