what are two ways that CSR the same for nonprofit and for-profit organizations? And, what are two ways that it is different?
Corporate social responsibility is the practice of fulfilling the responsibilities of the company towards the society. A company uses the resources of the society and therefore it is the responsibility of the company to give back to the society.
Profit organizations are mainly working for earning more profit while non-profit organizations do not work for earning profits. The CSR for profit organizations is mainly done with the aim of making tax deductible donations i.e. the aim is to get tac deductions. But in non-profit organizations, there is no such aim. Moreover, a profit organization does CSR so that people do not protest against the activities of the business which may not be suitable for the business. Non-profit company does not do CSR as an eye-wash. They genuinely do it for welfare of people. So it is different in profit and non-profit organizations.
CSR is same in profit and non-profit organizations as they both aim at satisfying the stakeholders of their company. It is also done for sustainability, accountability and transparency in the transactions of the organization.
