Explain how various public and private organizations (for-profit and nonprofit) are involved in the process of managing and ensuring effective delivery of public health services to U.S. citizens. Also explain how they work to help fight against obesity.
Public organisations under the the authority of government try to restrict the spread of infectious diseases. Such organisations also try to regulate the environmental hazards. These organisations along with private parties also try to maintain the cleanliness of environment so that a healthy population can be ensured.
Primary health care approaches are also adopted by various health care workers. They work in direction of providing immunisations and essential medications to each and and every individuals in populations. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is an organisation which is mainly concerned with such works.
It works for those people who are uninsured. This organisation works for better health of people in isolation and need immediate care. It mainly works for medically vulnerable population. Climate changes and urbanisation at larger scale produces hindrances in working of such organisation but volunteers help them a lot.
Obesity has become a major problem in present time. Unhealthy eating habits are the main cause for this problem. Various organisations along with health professionals try to spread a message for adopting healthy eating habits.
They organise various campaigns in schools so that students can become motivated to take green vegetables. They also inspire schools' canteens to adopt a menu with more colourful vegetables. Campaigns against the fast food also remains in progress.
Parents are also provided counselling in this matter and they are encouraged to incorporate exercises in their daily routine work.
