How does the role of nonprofit healthcare organizations differ from that of for-profit healthcare organizations? Which entity is better suited to meet the growing demand for health services by the aging population, and why?
The very name indicates that nonprofit health organisations render their services for gratis ,they are service oriented not thinking about accumulation of wealth . Whereas profit health care services offer their services with a business motive by charging the people with whatever they can .They are profit oriented since investments are done by a few private individuals unlike nonprofit organisations where they get income and expenses by donations , government subsidies , individual grants etc . Nonprofit health care organisation keep reputation in in their mind where profit oriented organisations keep income and capital in their mind . Nonprofit organisations are somewhat incorrigible compared to profit health care organisations where so much adoption of new technology and equipment for getting better connection and reliability with people whereas nonprofit organisations do not make much publicity or market for their products .
There are several pros and cons with both the organisations , choosing a particular organisation depends on the individual . Nowadays most people choose profit health care organisations since there is so much attention is paid on the patient where as nonprofit organisations draw severe flak for neglecting patients and not treating them well in developing countries . But people who are penurious choose nonprofit organisations since they can't afford much .If governments pay much attention towards monitoring nonprofit organisations then they are better suited for middle class aging population if not it is better to go to profit organisations since it is what happening in today's world .In America like countries both the organisations have equal importance since both of them are well equipped and developed but in third world countries the plight of nonprofit organisations is miserable.
