One of the forms Janelle must complete as part of the interview process is a leadership style questionnaire. Janelle wonders what insight her potential employers hope to gain from the results, what insight the results will provide her personally, and how this information will impact her career. Post your evaluation of leadership style assessments, such as the one you just completed, and the leadership style approach. Expert Solution

The leadership style which I like to talk about is the transformational leadership and a participative leadership. I choose this leadership style and approach as one of the most appropriate forms  because of the following reasons:

1. Decision Making: Transformational leadership is the approach which is used to make the people completely transform where they see themselves growing into a better individual. By imparting this leadership, we allow us as well as the employees working for the organisation to take the correct decisions, thus making them prone to decision making abilities. This is one of the basic factor which makes them develop the most strategic abilities and competencies.

2. Internal Motivation: Having a participatory style of leadership and a transformational approach would help people develop internal factors of motivation to stay within the company. These factors develop a sense of belongingness, trust and feeling of attachment towards people and organisation, making them think and act good for the organisation's growth.

3. Inclusion and Empowerment: At last, using such kind of approach and style would effectively help people to feel included and empowered. Using the participatory style, you are making the employees be a part of the critical decisions. This helps them develop the most competitive skills and thus helps them to achieve the personal goals with the organisational goals.

The basic impacts of using such style and approach on both organisation and individual employees would be:

1. Employee Retention: One basic impact of using such style and approach would be low employee turnover rate and higher retention. As mentioned, people would feel included in the organisation and thus making them feel empowered they would be retained in the working of the company and be loyal to the organisation.

2. Organisational Culture: Another factor is your organisational culture. Having such transformational style would develop a free communication around the company which thus would establish a healthy and living organisational culture for people.

3. Goodwill: At last, the biggest impact would be having an established and sustained goodwill in the market where employees would have a good word about the company and it will directly and positively impact the brand name and image of the company.
