A person's behavior is powered by the moral principles which is known as ethics. But when a particular decision or activity doesn't match with society's moral principles is known as ethical issues.
There are many ethics in medical field. One among them is Confidentiality. It means the personal health information of the patient to be kept private by the health professionals unless consent release information by patient. It also involves keeping information and records physically and electronically secure.
During my novice days as a neonatal nurse, during one night duty , a intersex newborn was brought to NICU following birth. The newborn was born with different sexual anatomy which was not similar to male or female. During the shift, few health workers were present and somebody leaked out the information to other departments. Few outside department staff came to see this child, which was against the moral principles. Very soon, the parents requested to shift the child to their private room. Yes, till today I felt it as ethical issue as confidentiality should not have been lost.
Another scenario happened when a HIV positive patient refused to disclose about HIV status with his partners as well as other health care workers. But in this situation it's better to disclose as it affects safety if health care workers who is taking care of him.
So, this ethics of moral principles that is confidentiality interests me
