In the book of Daniel, understanding God's people are in exile/captivity, you can only imagine what it must have been like to be separated from everything they had ever connected with their faith. Their holy city, their sacred places and the icons of their Jewish history had all been left behind.

How difficult do you believe it would be to find yourself in a similar situation and not forsake your beliefs? What are some ways you could maintain your faith while in spiritual "exile?"

Expert Solution

It would have been extremely difficult for me to cope up in such situation because when a spiritual exile is forced on someone it does not only result in separation from all those things that connects a person to his faith but also results in separation from the internalised belief and hope that resides in hearts based on which an individual continues to believe even when circumstances are all against it. I would have felt loss of peace and loss of satisfaction that the presence of such scriptures, sacred places and icons of Jewish history would have been giving me from so long.

I would have tried best to stick to my faith and belief through continuing to worship inside my heart and constantly asking for help and guidance from God which would have build in me the strength and courage to fight the situation and come out as victory.

Some ways through which I could maintain my faith while in spiritual exile would include constantly remembering the verses and revelations from the book Bible to make myself firm in my belief that help comes when sincerely asked for, and when we search for him, search with all our heart we will definitely find him.

Believing that this captivity will end soon as everything else diminishes, will give me the courage to fight such circumstances. What God choses is always beneficial for servant will help me believe in blessing in disguise and take such situation positively .
