Expert Solution

  • ANSWER-Formal arguements clearly state a claim with logical proof whereas informal arguments contain little or no evidence to support the claims.
  • In formal arguments the evidence could come from personal experiences, any statistical data or even expert testimony. For example,a food inspector could claim that he saw many insects crawling over the surface in food manufacturing unit. This is an example of expert testimony. The food inspector is an expert and will keenly observe the food manufacturing and cleanliness issues by stating a formal argument.
  • Informal argument would be like, for instance,I did the dishes last night. There is no evidence whether I did it or not and also its not really a solid argument to persuade your friend to do the dishes as well. Its just asserting a point thats it.
  • Informal arguments are mostly used as a point of evoking discussions or provocation between two parties who might disagree with each other.
  • ANSWER-Non debatable statements are those with which normally no one would argue. These are facts which are stated. For example,School is the place for learning is non debatable as it is a known fact that we all go to school to seek education.
  • Another example, coal is the main source of energy in India which is again a proven and stated fact.
