Yes, automation is a significant threat to the workforce as shown in the video "Humans Need Not Apply". This view is accurate for low skill workers and mechanical workers but according to me it is not a serious threat to humans with higher professional skills because they work for innovation which is a process that can be done in human brain only and not through any programs. Low skill workers have serious threat from automation because mechanical muscles lead to a decline in the demand for human labor so will the mechanical mind reduce the demand for low skilled workers performing mechanical jobs and not innovative jobs. Cars have lead to creation of mechanical muscle which made horses unemployed similarly mechanical mind will make human labor unemployed.  Human mental labor are down in areas where there is no need of innovations because when ever innovation is needed human mind is needed because bots cannot think like human. In professional areas like doctors, lawyers they are also replaced by mechanical mind they reduce the chance of error because they work based on a program but if something happens which is not installed in their program then they cannot work but human mind can think and can handle the situation. Bots can also be creative based on the programs installed in them but they work on programs and human mind work on situations. So, for higher profile jobs and creativity automation can reduce the work load but can not be actually replaced.

The society should have lower population because the unemployment is rising due to both rise in population and reduction in job availability. The jobs are getting reduced because mechanical laborers are replaced by bots. So, the society must be more educated and less populated to accomodate technological advancement that will affect the labor force. If technological advancement occurs then the labor who work mechanically will be lesser on demand which will increase unemployment but if they are more educated and their brain is capable of innovations then they can replace one automation by another then by another which will always keep them employed so, higher education is important to cope with automation.

To ensure my own employability in a technologically evolving society I must take getter higher education and must be involved with innovation through which I am capable of producing such things with help of human mind which cannot actuaaly be produced with mechanical mind because mechanical mind do not have the ability to think so I must nurture this capability of human brain to remain employed in technologically evolving society.
