AIDS(Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrom) or HIV (Human Immuno deficiency virus) is a viral infection the name suggests that it attacks the immuno system (mainly the CD4 of the T-lymphocyte) which is generally transmitted through the body fluids (like-blood,breast milk & semen). So there is high possibility of transmit of this disease by the blood transfusion and unprotecteed intecourse. But the hard reality is that once a person got infected by this virus then there is no cure.

Nature of the Virus: The virus is a retro virus which means it changes its genetic material in the host.So it is really difficult to eleminate this infection from body.

Future treatment: There are few treatment available for this disease but no cure this medicines are helpful to minimize the infection.

  • Anti-retrovial drug: This type of drugs are now widely used in the treatment of HIV as this type of drug is helpful in minimizing the effect of this viral infection by preventing the virus to spreading or replicating. There several experiments done which have also helpful in preventing the infection from mother to child. There are also few types of this drug.
  1. Protease inhibitor:This is a enzyme which is essential for replication,by preventing this enzyme we can prevent the replication of this virus.
  2. Neucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI): This drugs also prevent the replication of HIV.
  3. Integrase inhibitor:This enzyme is essential for HIV when it tries to infect the CD4 or the T cells of the immuno system,so by preventing this enzyme we can prevent the HIV to infect the immuno system.
  • Stem cell therapy: This is very expensive but effctiive treatment.By replacing the affect the germ cell line of the immuno system like the bone marrow,we can completely eleminate this disease from our iimmuno system.

This treatments are prefect no dobut but healthy living and good food enriched with vitamine minerals are also helpful to combat with this disease.
