Subject: Implementing Strategy
Present your thoughts on why implementing change is a difficult process and provide an example of a company that implemented a change (either a process, product, service, etc.) that was either successful or a disaster. Write at least 300 words.
The organisation I would like to talk about is a startup company
where I worked as a marketing intern for 2 months. Being a a good
rate of working and seeing higher potential of growth in its
business, the organisation decided to implement a big change in its
working operational activities of various departments. The change
was to develop and establish a technological management system
software of the organisation itself and convert all the managerial
compensation and controlling activities of the employees over to
the technology and the application. This would help the
organisation in various ways as it would help to achieve a higher
degree of productivity, effectivity, efficiency and greater output
generation if implemented properly.
For this implementation, the organisation understood the relevance
and importance of the training and the development programs
provided. In the initial phase, many old employees who were
sticking with the traditional methods try to resist this change
because of their adaptability towards the traditional methods. But,
as the time went on, organisation took the initiative to train the
employees regarding how to effectively use this application, many
people were invited and hired to make them understand and learn the
usage and benefits of this software to the organisations and how
they can increase the speed for them too.
By doing such effective ways of communicating the change at levels
where the change wasn't introduced all at once but at small levels
to make the people easily adjust with it, the implementation of the
change was a success as all the employees of the management being
it new or old got the training and understood the relevance of
it.
At last, the change was successfully accepted, people took the trainings very seriously and both the effectivity and the efficiency of the business increased at large with this change. This change was only successful because of the understanding and the proper communication provided to make this change inherit.
