evidence of standered of shifting indicates that how individuals actually behave towards members of stereotped groups for example, in one study focusing on gender and athleticism, role playing managers of a coed softball team favoured male over female players decisions, managers more likely to choose men for team and valued positions. at the same time, however, female players praised more than men players when they successfully hit single while at bat. because exceptions for woman were low , judges more impreesed by hit from woman than from man.
In conclusion, judging others is a big part of social life such as in school or workplace these judgments is cause for concern but reserach on shifting standereds highighted that effect of may be quite complex .
