For one, we have to think of covering critical positions in case of illness, promotions, terminations, or escape from the company (lol). This case study puts you in the role of HR Director for a manufacturing firm that is a critical supplier of products used in health care/hospitals for the protection of health care workers from contagious diseases. Your business is essential. The scenario involves the outbreak of a deadly virus which has become a pandemic. Work through and list the items that you must put into place for your employees, who we need to keep working for the sake of protecting human beings world wide. Don't forget that you may have employees who are at risk for their on health due to underlying health conditions such as heart disease, transplants, diabetes, and cancer, to name a few.

1. Workplace safety: It is important to maintain workplace safety for the workers and maintain proper work environment for them in order to ensure their safety.

2. Protection against spread of virus: It is also important to ensure that the workers wear protective equipments such as masks in order to prevent and spread the occurrence of this deadly virus and ensure the safety of workers.

3. Regular medical checks: The workplace should have medical facilities available handy in order to ensure that if an employee feels unwell, he must be admitted to the facility without any delay and proper treatment is provided.

4. Adequate compensation: The workers must be adequately compensated for their job in times of distress and they must be given an increment as well since they are putting their lives in danger and helping other in such times.
