Assume that racial minorities are more likely than White-Americans to be detained prior to trial. Why is this a matter for concern?

One of the most important things about the American society is that it’s dominated by the white majority and people of color are discriminated with the help of institutional racism that systematically neglect people of color from education, employment, housing, healthcare etc. This would mean that criminal justice system is one of the many institutions that are used to discriminate people of color especially, the Hispanic and African Americans. Secondly, there is a sense of white country which makes the white majority to view all the others as a threat to their existence which makes them discriminate others especially the Hispanic and African Americans to be in trouble because the white population had lived with them for many years. It’s really a problematic trend which would cause more serious issues in the society and may lead to another civil war between the white people and people of color. The good news is that not many white people agree with the notion of this discriminatory practices due to their increased exposure and experience with people of color.
