Expert Solution

It is one of the most important and dilemmatic questions that whether race is a real or an illusionary phenomenon. Though it can be assumed that race is an illusion but the effects caused by the practice of racism are very real. A race isn’t real but racism is an illusion. Their lies a great difference between race and racism. Social consequences and the prejudice related to racism are real. The consequences of racism have led to realize the fact that being an illusion, the race has been a real phenomenon. Though it’s very difficult to end and throw the race, still one should be cautious regarding this. Physical differences in human beings are the factor which will never be similar and equivalent throughout the world. This fact is the most difficult to handle with the human sentiments. Prejudice and stereotypes related to race is the most contagious disease which is next to impossible to get rid of. However, there lies a difference between being aware of the fact of race and using the idea of racism in order to create inequality in the society. If we assume to come out of the web of racism, we need to move beyond the prejudice and social stigma about race. Ignoring racism and its consequences will not help in constructing a bridge of equality in the future.

the bottom line is, absorption costing can create an illusion of efficiency by spreading the fixed manufacturing overhead cost over a large volume of output. The question then is: If absorption costing method may produce such "misleading" results on the income statement, why do companies even use this method...why are they allowed? Why doesn't anybody stop them? And, can anybody present an argument in favor of variable costing that would eliminate the issue caused by the misuse of absorption costing?
