Comparison shopping is when people compare prices of a product
across different shops or shopping website and choose the one which
offers the best price with uncompromised quality. Five aspects of
comparison shopping may include:
- Carrying out enough research to find a seller who will provide
quality product with the best price. Always check the product
ratings.
- Finding out if the best price is the lowest price or an average
among all alternatives available. Weigh your options. How much
you're willing to pay and what should be the actual price of the
product.
- If the money saved is worth the time and effort spent. How much
satisfaction is derived?
- This will also include comapring not only prices and quality of
a single product but the average reputation of the seller across
the other products he or she sells. Therefore check the seller
ratings.
- Compare warranties. Never fall for extended warranties. Sellers
often push for extended warranties and they are almost always
overpriced. Thus the reason for push selling.
