1. The organizational climate of the company is not very healthy. The employees do not trust the manager and the future of the company. Creativity, cooperation and motivation are missing. What can be done?

2. The employees are not motivated and the results are poor. The manager is not doing a good job of motivating people. How could you as one of the employees help the situation even though there are no financial recourses to solve the problem?

1) organisational culture is made up of principles, behaviours and history of the firm. It governs the attitude, work approach and relationship of each member with the other. When an organisational culture is unhealthy, employees won't trust seniors or managers. They find it difficult to stay satisfied and insecurity of job. One of the reasons employees dis-engage with work is due to a work environment which is not positive. Unhealthy culture don't promote creativity, empowerment, and leads to demotivated staff, with low productivity.

In this situation, it is important for the management to take quick actions and change the policies, work patterns and try to identify weak areas that are demotivating employees. They must make necessary transformations in work patterns and behaviour, consider employees' interest, reschedule their work and provide empowerment.

Employees who are given opportunities for sharing ideas and using creativity, feel ease in their work and concerned. They work more productively with high morale. This leads to higher degree of satisfaction and motivation. Management can also offer good incentives, rewards, and a career development for helping the employees grow along with the organisation. This builds employees' trust and enhance job security.

2) when employees are demotivated and managers are not able to effectively guide the members, it is important for me (as an employee) to take the leadership opportunity and try to maintain cooperation. This can be done by communicating the need to complete the work with other members and making them acknowledge the importance of performing their duty to get rewarded.

I will discuss the issue with seniors who can take necessary Decisions for training managers as well as employees on self motivation and work performance.
