The skin undergoes changes as we age due to factors like lifestyle,diet,heriditary and other personal habits.The skin change that comes with age includes:Rougher skin.benign lesions development ,loss of elastic tissues causing hang loose skin,Inability of skin to retain moisture,thinning of epidermis making it transparent,wrinkling,pigment alteration of skin while the changes of hair includes graying of hair,loss of hair folicles,decrease growth rate of hair.

CARE OF SKIN AND HAIR Of older clients: For Skin

  • Maintain adequate hydration and application of moisturizers or lotions.
  • Avoid prolong exposure to sun.
  • Fewer baths/showers using milder soaps
  • Avoid habits like smokind as it contributes to wrinkling of skin.
  • Wear protective clothing.

For Hair:

  • Eat foods inclusive of vitamin C,E ans B12,spinach,eggs and foods containing iron.
  • Keep the hair clean and free from infections and other haelth issues.
  • Keeping hair neath and tidy.

PREVENTIVE MEASURES THAT SLOWS AGING PROCESS :
