According to Schaller, Park, & Mueller (2003) Past research has indicated that men report higher levels of racism and ethnocentrism than women. What would be another perspective to this finding?
Men report higher levels of racism and ethnicentrism than women. This statement is absolutely correct. It is stereotyped that men are more able than women.
This thinking is easily reflected in number games at any organisation. Most of the working force in world today belongs to men only. This difference become more obvious in defence services.
Because men are on work for most of the times so it means that men are more exposed to world and to people of different mentalities. They become prone to various comments.
Testosterone is a hormone, which is mainly found in men. It has very disturbing nature. It is responsible for agressive nature. This is also a reason that men are more vulnerable to racism.
Testosterone forces a man to express aggressively either in verbal or in non verbal form. Here Verbal form means passing negative comments and Non verbal means fighting and quarrelsome.
Testosterone pushes the feelings of fight with equal caliber person. In case of females a man generally prefers to avoid conflicting situation. All these causes the fact that men report higher levels of racism.
