What challenges are managers of health-care organizations facing?

Healthcare Managers in healthcare industries are facing complex situations. They are now have to deal with Refoms or changes in healthcare laws which affect all operations and management of an healthcare organization. They have to deal with technological changes so that they do not remain outdate in the industry. The Population of US is ageing and rate of chronic diseases is increasing which is putting a lot of pressure on Managers to have high quality care in thier organization. The situation of shortage of qualified staff or nurses is also very challenging.

How would the way health-care organization managers manage be different in a team-based model?

In team based model, There will be less responsibility and management by managers because now Manager will only divide up responsibilities for performing tasks among team of medical professionals. This team will be responsible for give quality care to patient. Managers need to just supervise and monitor their performance.

Explain how roles, norms, status systems, and group cohesiveness might influence the success of a team-based model.

Roles, norms, status systems and group cohesiveness put great influence on the success of a team based model because Having clear roles means who will be doing what then no conflicts will arise. Norms will make sure compliance with rules and regulations and group cohesiveness means team members will increase interest in working in teams, learn from each other and provide high quality care to patient as end goal.

What are some reasons you think a team-based model has led to improved patient outcomes and reduced costs?

The increased performance and achievement of tasks on time is the first reason because working in team helps to provide patients with a wellrounded health-care experience. this could not be possible in individual healthcare system.

second reason, health-care staffers are working together to make sure that no patient concern, need, preventive action, or matter was missed or overlooked . this reduces medical error reporting, wrong diagnosis and lower patient's readmission.
