The President has decided to turn to the private sector in South Africa. He can pick any CEO or Board Chairperson to head up the failing parastatal. a. It is difficult to define the term LEADERSHIP, however as a starting point, we may proceed with the workable definition that a leader is one who leads others and can carry an individual or group towards the accomplishment of a common goal, he can carry them with him because he influences their behavior .he can influence their behavior because he enjoys some power over them, they are willing to be influenced because they have certain needs to satisfy in collaboration with him "the leadership is the art of influencing the behavior and performance of followers

without a good leader, an organization cannot function efficiently and effectively, the leader guides the action of the others in accomplishing the organizational goal, A good leader motivates his subordinate, create confidence and increases the morale of workers the importance of leadership are:-

in the above situation leader must promote their worker and induce the worker to achieve the goal, a leader should not be biased toward the worker .give positive energy to the worker and take appropriate decision efficient use of resources and good business operation, the manager must seek consultation on all major issues and decisions, and effectively delegate tasks to subordinates and give them full control, he must welcome feedback for quality assurance and innovation he also must encourage others to become a leader in future
