It was reported in the news that the average pay for most university presidents was around $250,000 per year, but that a few earned much more. For example, the president of Yale University received more than $1 million in 2012.
Discuss why you would (or would not) pay university presidents as much as or more than many corporate CEOs.
A Thumbs Up! Would be really helpful for me. If you have any questions, please leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Here we will discuss, that why would or why wouldn't University presidents paid as much as or more than many corporate CEOs.
It is generally considered that the CEO of the corporate level have much authority and power than that of the presidents of the universities. According to many types of research and reports, it is noted that a President of the universities has many more responsibilities, and he has to perform more tasks as a comparison to the CEO of the corporate level. There is also the education difference when it comes to the difference between the university presidents and corporate CEO because University presidents are more likely to be e educated than that of the corporate CEO. therefore, it can be said that more the educated person the more money he would ask for. It is definitely fair to pay the university presidents more than that of the corporate CEOs. The president of the University has a complete right to ask for the desired amount of money, as he has to look after the whole University and has a lot of responsibilities on him to be fulfilled on time.
