My company is a project firm; and unfortunately, most projects firms embark on end up extending beyond their original deadline often because there are changes in project scope or there is a shift in management policy. My firm was facing both the problems there are changes in project scope and there is a shift in management policy.

Then, management decides to use Six Sigma, and set up a team of experienced employees from all levels within the organization and from every functional department like human resource department, financial department, information technology department, and marketing department. This team is then given the task of identifying factors that that could negatively affect the project leading to long cycle time.

Then they tasked to find solution to these potential outcomes. This method allows business to create shorter cycle time for projects and stick those schedules. And with the help of Six Sigma, our firm reporting reductions in project cycle times of up to 35 percent. This method also increases the productivity and efficiency of the project team.
