experiences with a school-age child whose family is at or near the poverty level. How did poverty impact their life? The chapter talks about strengths in the lives of people and families in poverty that may help them overcome the effects on a child's development and well-being. Include examples of strengths within the child and family, or relationships and resources available to them outside of the family that may have helped them overcome some of the obstacles to their success.
Poverty can have a very huge impact on the life of individuals because poverty can make it difficult for basic resources to be provided for a family to function. These resources can range somewhere from the minimum requirement of meals in a day to shelter which can provide safety and security for the whole family. However evidence shows that the collective psychological techniques can help in dealing with the psychological and sociological issues. for example if a family is not able to provide education for their children by the source of School Education they may themselves take responsibility for educating their children and helping them in developing skills that they require after a particular age to be able to perform occupational techniques to earn a living. It is common to observe compromises done by parents in order to support their children specially where there is a deficiency of food resources in the family however if the is compromise is entertained in the family by every member of the family towards every other family member then it makes it psychologically very effective to deal with issues that may be generated socially. In terms of child development and well being the family as an institution can work together to keep track of developmental milestones and techniques to enhance the abilities and skills of the child while also facilitating the child to develop new skills on their own.
