A local restaurant would like to put its business online, and you are in charge of this project.
First of all, I would consider the food menu and offerings of the restaurant to the customers. I would ask the restaurant owner about any specialities in his menu that he would like to highlight. Then I would make a website and make it look very customer centric and appealing. I would highlight important items in the website and also indicate discounts wherever applicable. I would give a detailed menu and also include the option of home delivery to the customers. Then I would market the restaurant in the entire region and also publish advertisement on social media sites, e-commerce sites, online advertisements, local publishings etc to make the restaurant popular.
My personal experience with online business interfaces can influence the approach of this project since I would be having sufficient experience in executing this work earlier and would know the challenges and after rewards as well. Having known that there is a lot of competition in tne food industry since most of the players are going inline due to shift in customer preferences. I know that there is still a huge demand from the customers and customers also pay premium for some unique food offerings and any speciality items. Hence it would be great if the restaurant could offer such items which would have huge customer demand which would make it popular. Also from my previous experience, I know that it takes some time for the changes to come into effect once the switch us made from offline to online business model. Hence the profit levels increase gradually. The restaurant owner must not panic and wait for his business to flourish online.
