Are we who we are because of "Nature" or "Nurture"? Explain
The debate on the influence of "Nature" and "Nurture" is quite old when it comes to the world of human development and Psychology. While both the variables play their part in the development of the individual, it is to be noted that the effect of "Nurture" is greater than the effect of "Nature".
Nature refers to the genetic and biological factors which are naturally responsible for making us who we are. The effects that these factors have on us are on our aesthetics but also on our personality. The Nurture, however, tends to have a far more significant effect as it takes into account several different environmental variables when talking about the development of the individual. These variables can include social factors, economic factors, childhood experiences, experience with parents, and also our other social relationships. There are also many ways in which both these factors interact with each other to have effects on us.
