Smartphones and tablet computers have given consumers greater freedom to access social media on the go, which is likely to increase usage of social media sites. Many advertising budgets are allotting more money to online marketing, including social media, mobile marketing, and search marketing. Describe the social media tools in a marketer’s toolbox and how they are useful. Also, describe the impact of mobile technology on social media.

Social media has been a boon to digital marketers around the globe. It has created a very lucid way of reaching out to the customers and engaging them to buy products of their choices. Marketers with the help of marketing tools and proper strategies are able to reach a vast majority of the population from different spheres of life. Social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter are one of the best platforms where marketers can market their product easily with the help of tools such as Facebook ads, Instagram ads etc. YouTube is also a very good platform where marketers provide value through the help of video, which attract customers because of their cheesy content.

Traditional marketing requires a lot of effort and cost too much to reach out to the customers. But because of social marketing the cost is optimized and very less in comparison. Marketers can target their customer’s base and reach out exclusively to them based on the customer’s search history or view of products. As people are using smartphones it has become much easier for the people to look at products and also other way round people are building up social sites, online markets where people sale things at ease. It has helped business to grow and reach out to the world sitting at one place.

Mobile technology however has increased the productivity in marketing and engaged people with ads. Now a day most application we use has different ads enabling us to make decision and buy products at ease.
