Give an example of a math problem that you have seen in a previous math class that would not be considered a discrete math problem. In order to receive full credit for this question you must: state the problem, and give a brief explanation as to why the problem is not a discrete math problem. You DO NOT have to give the solution to the problem
Any problem related to calculus( excluding calculus of finite differences) and dealing with continuous variables can be considered as not discrete. I have presented a version of the fixed point theorem as a problem which is a property of continuous functions. The question avoids the sequences and finite differences which are considered to be a part of discrete mathematics.
