The idea behind communcation with clients should be to build trust with them on facts and honest opinion. Even when the question being asked is very obvious or you do not know the answer immediately to the question, it is important to have patience and accept things where you are wrong.

  • Have patience: Even when a client is asking a question which is very obvious and you are being annoyed that. It's important to have patience, being impatient shows you are unprofessional and not able to deal with a difficult circumstances. Give them a detailed answer.
  • Don't lie; When a particular client asks a question to you and you don't know the answer to that particular question, simply accept it that you are not fully informed about that and you will get back to him with complete answer.
  • Do indepth research about your client:Make sure you know who your client is, what he wants and how you can deliver that. Being fully informed about you client will help you avoid being in a position where you are seen as incompetent or unhelpful
  • Ask open ended question: Try to build a level of trust by asking open ended question to the client. It will help you get to know more about the issue and he wil also feel that you are serious about resolving his issue.
