I am selecting the first statement and will offer an argument to support this statement.
1. Communication:
Leadership is all about communication. A leader should be very effective in their communication strategy and the leader should be able to communicate the cultural value which inspires the mass to display the desired behavior. effectiveness of the leadership is measured by the effectiveness of the communication. To support this argument I would like to give the example of leaders on whom the public has shown the trust, all these leaders were an effective communicator. The communication of a leader has to be effective and accurate to build trust. The trust between the leader and follower can only be built upon the base of effective communication. The attitude to convince people comes from the ability to communicate effectively and this helps in making followers follow the idea, principles, or path set by the leader.
There are other leadership attributes that are essential for a successful leader, but no matter how good other leadership attributes the leader has, communication skills must be at the highest level of proficiency.
