Rohit Prasad is the creator of Amazon echo and he created Amazon echo with Tony Reid. Amazon echo was launched in the November of 2014 but it was only available for members who have opted for the prime subscription of Amazon and then for everyone it was released in the June of 2015.

The Amazon echo project started in the year 2011. The project started under the phrase of Augmented Reality. Augmented reality was a buzz word at that period of time. The patents took different ideas like displaying augmeted reality images with people will be able to interact or like tracking the movement of people and how they behave like clap sing etc. Then patents decided to offer something to people which they can use at their home and which can provide them different services in response of what input they give to the device.
