is a realistic outcome for a PTSD patient

"participate in suport groups" im not sure if this is a realistic out come. what if they dont want to be in a support group.

I know some realistic outcomes are " pt wont experience flashbacks, pt will verbalize the ability to experience a wide range of emotions, pt will not use hypnotics to sleep."

In the PTSD patient/client it's better to join in support group for the great exploration of inner stress with relating to same group of people. It always a good option but in case of introvert pateint or client it is not possible/easy for the client to express his/her inner feelings of stress to others .

In those cases as professional we can suggest some supportive therapy that relaxing the mind without causing physical harm to the patient. In that case light music therapy , aromatherapy may helpful, passing time with the loved one can reduce the trauma. Sometime we can suggest the hobbies of daily activities like trying new clicking style, art and craft may rejuvenate the client's mind.

Most of the cases counseling ,recounselling may really helpful for the client's.
